With many glorious sandy beaches and lovely seaside holiday towns like Buckie, Lossiemouth and Nairn there is lots to be seen in the area around Burghead. There is glorious scenery all around with cliffs, arches and stacks as well as sand and dunes, rest up for a while and see if you spot the famous Moray Firth dolphins. There are many great links & inland golf courses with a short drive of Pierbrae, here are a few of our recommendations:

Widely regarded as one of the premium inland courses in the North of Scotland; Elgin Golf Course measures 6,458 yards with par of 69 and a standard scratch of 71, the stimulating course is sure to test all handicap players.

Forres Golf Club has hosted the Scottish Professional Championship and Northern Open. Its beautiful location and perfect greens make it one of the most envied inland courses in Scotland.

Hopeman Golf Club is a mixture of parkland and links, with its undulating fairways, the odd blind shot and a few burns - everything you'd expect from a Scottish links.

Covesea Links is a 9 hole course which sits at the end of its own windy road, nestled in a cove right on the coast between Lossiemouth and Hopeman. The course offers stunning views of the coast along the way.

The old course at Moray Golf Club may be one of the best links courses in Scotland, with its deep bunkers, undulating gorse lined fairways and smooth fast greens. It is a superb test of golf with seven par fours over 400 yards.

If you've got the bike, we've got the scenery along the Moray Coast. The National Cycle Route 1 comes right through Burghead on its way from Aberdeen to Inverness. Here are a few routes to consider:
